I returned to pottery about two years ago after a long gap from evening classes. My interest is in thrown work, drawing on classical references but also exploiting the exciting possibilities of glazes. I am exploring glazes and glaze combinations as well as different firing processes such as raku. I can see the wider possibilities of cutting and distorting thrown ware and am interested to see how I can use that to express different ideas.
