Brier Hey Pottery

A community pottery in the beautiful Calder Valley

Welcome to the new Brier Hey Pottery. We opened our doors in August 2022, over forty years after the celebrated potter David Constantine White established the original Brier Hey, less than a quarter of a mile from our present canal-side location.

We are home to a group of 20 established and emerging ceramists/ potters who work independently whilst enjoying the support and advice of their fellow makers.

The Pottery is a not-for-profit community facility with full disabled access. It was set up and is managed by Sue and Barry Turner with generous support from the David Constantine White Trust Fund and help from the Trustees and studio members.
